A multi-year agreement for the use of Altera Digital Health’s SunriseTM suite of healthcare IT solutions has been signed with Singapore’s largest public healthcare group, SingHealth. Altera Digital Health, formerly the Allscripts Hospitals and Large Physician Practices business segment, is a world leader in healthcare IT.
Under the cooperation, SingHealth will continue to get support for Altera Digital Health’s electronic medical record (EMR) platform through 2029. It is an extension of a deal that was inked with Allscripts in 2017. Since 1998, SingHealth has used the SunriseTM Clinical Manager System, which is supported by the national HealthTech organization Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS). The comprehensive EMR platform suite will continue to advance SingHealth’s multidisciplinary and integrated care approach for more than 20,000 healthcare professionals in its network of acute hospitals, national specialty centers, community hospitals, and polyclinics, which serves more than half of Singapore’s population.
Marcus Perez, President of Altera Digital Health, stated, “We are extremely happy to continue our cooperation with SingHealth, which represents the first stage in our Altera journey in Singapore and the region. “Altera Digital Health is dedicated to advancing a new future of healthcare powered by the Platform of Health, one with increased interoperability and less information load that supports value-based treatment for enhanced health outcomes.”
“Our relationship with SingHealth to offer our SunriseTM suite is a powerful illustration of how we can assist healthcare ecosystems with the basis for the Platform of Health,” continued Anna Grammare, General Manager of Altera Digital Health Singapore.
Our platform strategy is to improve healthcare delivery while reducing the strain on healthcare professionals and promoting healthier communities.
A comprehensive, open platform that links all facets of care from several healthcare disciplines is the SunriseTM solution suite. The highly adaptable platform, which is outfitted with application programming interfaces (APIs), will continue to be used by IHiS to adapt to SingHealth’s clinical procedures and link with its suite of systems for smooth interoperability. The utilization of SunriseTM will also serve as an interface on which SingHealth and IHiS may base their own healthcare IT solutions. This will allow for more expandability, flexibility, and scalability of its clinician-specific processes, which can result in more seamless patient care.
SingHealth’s group chief executive officer, Professor Ivy Ng, said: “SingHealth is dedicated to utilizing technology and digital solutions as key enablers to improve care delivery and clinical outcomes, optimize resources, and improve the patient experience as Singaporeans’ healthcare needs continue to change. We are encouraged to collaborate with Altera Digital Health and the Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS) to advance healthcare technology. To accomplish this, we seek to accelerate technology development and provide more creative solutions to current and upcoming healthcare concerns.”
