Hamilton City- After the city council members voted 9-4 to suspend the requirement, it is no longer a requirement for employment for anyone working for the Hamilton City Government. This implies that employees won’t be required to take a Rapid Antigen Test as a condition of employment, per the government release. If they don’t have their shots by September 30th, they won’t be fired either.
According to the notice, the suspension applies to all full-time, part-time, permanent, temporary, casual, and new hire employees of the municipal government as well as volunteers, council members, and students who serve on council-appointed committees. However, the release states that submitting proof of immunization will still be a requirement for employment for new recruits with the City of Hamilton.
